Lanie Brown hosts community symposiums and accepts speaking engagements to present sage counsel on critical elder law topics such as preparing for incapacity and guardianship in Texas. Please register to join the next scheduled Sage Counsel event.
A free community event is a public forum. Kindly schedule an appointment with Ms. Brown to privately discuss the details of your personal situation and potential need for legal solutions.
Real property is an important investment that presents a wonderful opportunity to land your legacy. Perhaps your goal is to keep a property in the family or transfer it to a specific individual with minimum burden on loved ones. A benefactor can even donate real property as a conservation easement or generous charitable gift.
Ms. Brown is available for speaking engagements at your neighborhood, civic, professional, charity, or church meeting, and she will tailor a presentation to meet your interests.
Ask about the Sage Good Deeds program to educate your group about real estate, estate planning, and charitable giving.
Ms. Brown returns to her law school alma mater as an adjunct professor in the Randall O. Sorrels Legal Clinics where she trained as an elder law attorney. She is scheduled to teach Probate Clinic for the 2024-25 academic year.
"Learning practical skills and serving clients in clinics were undoubtedly some of my favorite and most valuable experiences in law school," shares Professor Lanie. "It is my privilege to be a lawyer and give back by guiding aspiring attorneys on their paths to legal practice."
Note: This commitment does not hinder my private practice in the Hill Country as I am teaching remotely.
